T-80U equipped with the complex of active protection "Drozd" was pre-sented on the exhibition as an example. The complex of active protection "Drozd" have been produced serially and have been used for the increasing of the T-55 tanks protection, these tanks are adopted by Russian Armored Forces.

Complex "Drozd" provides hitting on trajectory of attacking HEAT projectiles (ATGM and grenades) that fly with the speed from 70 up to 700 m/sec, in the sector up to 80°. The complex works in the automatic mode with-out crew's help. It takes 0.35 sec to get ready for the protection from new attack. There are 8 launching devices on the tank. The time of reloading is 15 minutes.

Installation of the "Drozd" complex increases the survivability of the tank on the battlefield in 1.2-1.5 times.
